Adult Career Development
Adult Career Development provides leadership and resources that increase access to quality training programs and lifelong learning opportunities. Career development, continuing education, certification, and personal enrichment classes are all available through Adult Career Development!
Agricultural Education
Administers agricultural education programs in 353 high schools. These programs prepare students for occupations in production agriculture, agribusiness, and other emerging occupations in agricultural education. FFA is the student organization.

Bid Assistance Center
Supports a network of centers in CareerTech schools which provide state companies timely access to the information and assistance needed to compete for government contracts.
Business and Information Technology Education
Administers business education programs in technology centers and comprehensive high schools. The division provides products and services to promote the development of a comprehensive delivery system that is customer-focused and client-based. Through Business Professionals of America (BPA), career and technology student organization, students gain necessary skills to compete in the marketplace by accepting the responsibility of success and the challenge of learning.
Business & Industry Development
Provides the support and leadership necessary to position career and technology education as a total training resource for Oklahoma's business and industries.
Career Clusters
Career Clusters link what students learn in school with the knowledge and skills they need for success in college and careers. The agency provides leadership, resources and technical assistance to schools across Oklahoma implementing clusters.
Career Resource Network
Provides comprehensive occupational, career development and labor market information to Oklahoma. CRN was established July 1, 2000, upon the sunset of the existing State Occupational Information Coordinating Committee. With a new mission and a new funding source, the CRN strives to provide current and comprehensive career guidance information in both electronic and printed form.
CareerTech Foundation
The Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation works to support student opportunities
and success through 29 technology center districts spanning Oklahoma.
Foundation staff work with CareerTech staff to identify and pursue
opportunities that are aligned with CareerTech's goal,
Civil Rights
Information is available and on-site reviews are conducted to clarify the civil rights responsibilities of recipients of Federal funds offering or administering CareerTech programs. Included are Title VI (race), Title IX (sex), Section 504 (disabilities), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (disabilities).
Communications and Marketing
Provides internal and external communications services to promote Oklahomas career and technology education through the web, print, and broadcast media.
Cooperative Alliances
As part of the Cooperative Alliances, some
higher education institutions, in partnership with Oklahoma’s
career and technology centers, have been approved to allow high school
students to enroll in technical programs and courses under separate
admission standards.
Creative Services

Curriculum and Instructional Materials Center
Develops quality, competency-based instructional products and services for career and technology education. The various units are Customer Service, Development, Electronic Media, Marketing, and the Warehouse.
Educational Technology Resources
Provides educational technology and telecommunications resources for customers throughout the system. The ETR division is equipped with a full motion videoconferencing studio as well as an Intel Team Station for H.323 connections.

Coordinates hiring and orientation activities, provides professional growth opportunities
and specific training programs to staff members, and maintains the compensation,
benefits, and performance review systems.
Family and Consumer Sciences Education
Provides leadership to Family and Consumer Sciences educators. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), family and consumer sciences education is the student organization.
Federal Legislation Assistance (Perkins information)
Coordinates the use of federal funds to enhance student learning.
Finance and Internal Audit
Maintains the budgeting, accounting, auditing, and reporting responsibilities for the agency, insuring that resources are utilized efficiently and effectively and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Guidance
We develop and disseminate relevant products, offer quality inservice training, and provide technical assistance and leadership for career guidance within the state of Oklahoma.
Health Careers Education
Provides leadership to health education teachers across the state. Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is the Student organization.
High Schools That Work (HSTW)
The largest and oldest of the Southern Regional Education Board's (SREB) seven school-improvement initiatives for high school and middle grades leaders and teachers. Our mission is to prepare Oklahoman's to be successful in the workplace.

The Information Commons connects you to resources for your professional development, training, and classroom needs. The Information Commons offers a collection of video, multimedia and print resources for loan in the areas of career and technology education techniques and curriculum, teaching methods and learning styles, technology in education, life skills, business management and leadership, school reform initiatives, and much more.
Information Management Division
Collects, processes and analyzes CareerTech student data and information for management planning and decision making.
Innovative Initiatives and Services (IIS)
This site is designed to promote communication between the Oklahoma Innovative Initiatives Division, state and local representatives, grantees, and any other interested parties including businesses, colleges, and universities, K-12 schools, technology centers, students, and parents.
Innovative Programming and Research (IPR)
Oklahoma's leading career and technology education research group is responsible for conducting and assisting research on innovative programming, development, and evaluation activities that address local and state initiatives in career and technology education.
Instructional Services
Implements a comprehensive statewide staff development program for career and technology educators and our partners. Energies are focused on coordinating professional development activities, implementing teacher induction/mentoring programs, developing teacher recruitment/retention programs, working with agency divisions on curriculum inservices, providing workshops for teachers seeking National Board Certification, collaborating with higher education, initiating leadership activities, coordination of special projects and providing ODCTE conference coordination.
Maintenance & Plant Services
Provides a clean and safe working environment for staff and customers including building and custodial maintenance, plant services, and emergency procedures implementation and training.
Marketing Education
Supports programs in technology centers and high schools offering instruction in Marketing Management, Fashion Merchandising, International Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Law Enforcement. An integral part of the program is the student organization, (DECA).
Multistate Academic and Vocational Curriculum Consortium (MAVCC)
MAVCC is a nonprofit organization which develops competency-based instructional materials mutually needed by its nine member-states.
Perkins (Federal Legislation Assistance)
Provides implementation and monitoring leadership and support for Oklahoma recipients of Carl Perkins federal vocational funds.
Printing Plant
Provides printed material, print estimates and technical assistance in pre-press production. Jobs included are brochures, pamphlets, curriculum manuals and other commercial work.
Purchasing & Plant Services
Responsibile for purchasing services and vendor relations, telephone systems, management of facilities and records, grounds beautification, and agency vehicles.
Regional Administrators
Serve as a liaison between superintendents of local education agencies, local communities, and other agencies and administrative entities involved with the delivery of career and technology education programs and services. There are six districts, each served by a regional administrator.

Located in the ODCTE Innovative Initiatives and Services Division, we conduct and assist research activities that address local, state, and national career and technology education initiatives that lead to improved learning, economic and life opportunities for the citizens of Oklahoma.

Rural Health Project
The Rural Health Project implements partnerships between local technology centers with rural critical access hospitals for the purpose of updating occupational skills of health care professionals. This project is a partnership between the Office of Rural Health and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
Service Center/Inventory Control
Provides warehousing, office supplies, transportation and material handling, and audio-visual check out and handling for agency staff. Inventory Controls provides information and technical assistance on inventory and inventory control for the ODCTE. Conducts equipment audits, tags new and transferred equipment, and oversees the transfer of equipment titles to technology centers and high schools.
Skills Centers
CareerTech Skills Centers operates occupational training programs and related services for incarcerated adults and for juveniles in detention centers. Academic education, occupational training, and life skills are integrated into one delivery system.
Small Business Development Services
Provides leadership and resources to technology centers to ensure Oklahoma business success. Services include staff certification, contract monitoring, and offering in-service and strategic management programs.
Strategic Planning & Research
Addresses strategic issues with direct implications for the on-going success of work force development in Oklahoma.
Systems Design and Computer Services
The Division provides design and implementation of Information Systems, Training, and Technical Assistance to individual Users and Divisions in the application of computer technology to assist the Department to meet its stated Goals and Objectives.
Technology Center Services
Serves as the communication link between technology center school administrators and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
Technology Education.
Supports programs provided in comprehensive schools in grades six through ten, providing hands-on career exploration experiences, and improving technological literacy. The Technology Student Association, (TSA) is the national organization for technology education students.
Tech Prep
Tech Prep is an important transition strategy for helping secondary students who are interested in a technical field make the connection between school and employment. The agency partners with 24 Tech Prep Consortia across the state and the Tech Prep division provides policy leadership, technical assistance and in-service, resource materials, reports and data as requested.
Testing
Implements a valid system to measure occupational competencies of students and industry workers, to meet the evolving certification needs of Oklahoma and selected national groups.
Trade & Industrial Education
Oversees the training that students receive in a wide variety of trade areas. SkillsUSA is the student organization.
Work
Prep
A program that provides up to one year of vocational training to eligible recipients.
In addition to vocational training the Work Prep students have access to intensive
support services, basic academic education, employability skills, employment
services, and employment retention services.
